- Hourly total — Rates are typed the way people quote them: the nanny’s total for an hour at each number of kids. Each family’s share appears beside it as you type, so nobody has to do the division — a $35/hr rate for two kids shows $17.50 per kid.
- Uneven splits — A rate that doesn’t divide evenly is marked approximate — $35 an hour across three kids reads ”≈ $11.67 /kid” — and the exact cents are what gets charged.
- Saving a rate — Rates save exactly as entered, including when you open the sheet and save without changing anything. A rate you don’t touch is left exactly as it was.
- One source — The rate on a nanny’s profile, in the Rates sheet, on a charge and in a session’s cost breakdown all come from the same place, so it reads the same everywhere.
